    The exhibition “Heritage. World Youth Day. Cracow 2016” can be seen in the Cathedral Notre Dame de Strasbourg from 7 October till 10 November 2016.

     

     

    The exhibition about the World Youth Day, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, shows spiritual richness and beauty of Poland and Cracow during the meeting of young pilgrims from around the world with Pope Francis, that took place in July 2016 in Cracow.

     

    We can now see this exhibition in Strasbourg, thanks to the kindness of the managers of the Strasbourg’s Cathedral. Such a prestigious venue of the exhibition enables its message to reach thousands of tourists from different parts of the world who visit the Cathedral.

     

    Cathedral Notre Dame de Strasbourg is one of the most famous religious monuments of the world, visited by 8,5 million people each year. It has a thousand years of history - its beginnings date back to 1015. The Cathedral measures 142 m, which for 227 years (from 1647 to 1874) gave it the title of the highest building in the world.

     

    The WYD 2016 exhibition was organized by the Permanent Representation of Poland to the Council of Europe.
